Follow the link below that gives some interesting stats on the use of digital Technology in everyday lives and how students learn.
The main thrust of the presentation is that students are so used to using digital media that they find 'traditional' teaching deliveries boring and that they engage more with digital media.
It also states that digital students receive over 200 000 emails and digital messages during the course of their learning !!! Who says that students don't read!!!
