Point-and-shoot Digital Cameras

Choosing a digital camera can be nerve wrecking.  There are so many out there on the market to choose from.  They vary in size, shape and color.  They each have their own individual qualities that make them stand out.  They offer features and options that define each of them in their own way.  There are basically two types of digital cameras. You can get the SLR Digital Camera or the Point-And-Shoot Digital Camera.  The SLR is designed with the more active photographer in mind.  They are generally meant to be used on the move and on the run.  It is a great camera for action shots.  The SLR works on a mirror system.  The image taken reflects off the mirror and onto the memory.  The price range on these digital cameras can range from ‘not bad’ to ‘oh my god’.  But they are a great piece of craftsmanship.  If you are a serious photographer, take a look at the SLR.

The other digital camera is the Point-And-Shoot.  This camera is the next best thing to peanut butter.  It is basically a automatic camera.  It will do everything for you except pick itself up, aim and take the shot.  It does not come with a lot of controls to take up your time or confuse you.  It is designed to make a camera enthusiasts life just a little easier.  Now its not to say that a Point-And-Shoot is a toy.  Don’t misunderstand me.  These are great digital cameras.  They range in price from .99 up to ,999.  Although they are automatic, they still offer things like , special image effects and most of them come with a movie mode, some even with audio.  Certainly not a toy, but they are designed to give you hours of pleasure.

For the average camera enthusiast, a Point-and-Shoot is a fine camera for the money.  If you are looking for a camera to preserve priceless memories of your family, you cannot go wrong.  If you like playing with a lot of different affects and options, then you might want to consider the SLR.  The choice is yours.  Good luck and good shooting.
